Just finished up this “ugly bag” — though I’d say she turned out pretty handsome in her own rough-around-the-edges way. Made from bark-tanned deer leather, with all the wild character left in. I let the gnarly edges show on the flap and along the lip of the roomy inside pocket . Even the welt got a bit of playful, nubby fringe.
The strap is woven linen, ferrous printed by Kerry Masarik of Horn and Fiber, and it ties the whole piece together beautifully.
